On Wednesday, 1 June from 11:00 untill 14:00 , the Riga Central Market invites everyone, big and small, to take part in the Market Wonderland event dedicated to the International Children’s Day.

Invitation from Anatolijs Abramovs on behalf of Rīgas Centrāltirgus AS: “Start the school summer vacation with creative and sporting activities. Come to the Riga Central Market, where everyone will find their favourite greens and fragrant summer berries to jointly prepare a bright, healthy, versatile and delicious meal for the whole family. Welcome to the Market Wonderland!”

Visitors will be delighted to watch the show featuring large and small unbreakable bubbles and also smoke bubbles. Children will even have a chance to see the larger bubbles from the inside. Magic tricks will be performed by the magician Toms Felkers.

The real lawn in the Wonderland will be a place for everyone to try their hand at flamingo croquet, unconventional floorball and giant theatrical game as well as to give their feet some freedom and walk the barefoot trail. There will be several white rabbits in the enclosure that can be asked the time.

Children will have an opportunity to turn into their favourite fairy-tale characters at the face painting workshop. As a keepsake of this day, every visitor to the Market Wonderland will be able to get a portrait drawn by a cartoonist or indulge in a family photoshoot and receive a photo print from Fobo. The mascots of the Central Market, the Little Basket and the Little Cornet, will be happy to take a photo with children, as always.

The most attractive visitors to the Wonderland will be given delicious and delectable gifts from the Riga Central Market. Wonder which ones? This will be determined by the participants themselves by spinning the wheel of fortune in the Wonderland.

We invite you to see in the summer holidays in a pleasant and vibrant atmosphere and surrender to the temptation of the new crop of vegetables and berries. See you in the most colourful place of the city – the Riga Central Market!
