On Wednesday, 25 February, Shaolin monks from China took the opportunity to enjoy the special atmosphere of the Riga Central Market and also buy souvenirs and fresh goodies.
During their week-long stay in Latvia, Shaolin monks not only delivered the breathtaking martial arts demonstration, but also visited the most interesting and beautiful places in Riga and Latvia, including the Riga Central Market.
The Chinese guests visited the Riga Central Market to shop for souvenirs and fresh food to prepare their own meals during the stay. Throughout their shopping time, the monks dressed entirely in grey aroused genuine interest among the visitors to the Central Market.
This was the first visit of Shaolin monks to Latvia, where they delivered the only martial arts performance in the Baltic countries.
